MMA Fighter Tyler Weathers

I first watched Tyler Weathers fight in Irvine at Battle in the Ballroom in 2008. The promoter there, Roy Englebrecht Productions, was kind enough to do an exchange with me. They must have seen me on the corner with my sign, “Will take photos for free admission”.
Tyler is originally from Oregon where he began wrestling and then moved down here to start his mixed martial arts career. Today he is a professional MMA fighter with experience competing in shows such as M-1. For those who remember, M-1 partnered with Affliction to bring us matches such as Fedor Emelianenko vs. Andrei Arlovski. He won his last fight in July by guillotine in the first round!
The other day he hit me up on Facebook and asked me to come down to the new gym he’s teaching at. The gym is called West Coast Fight Academy in Anaheim. It was once a Tae Kwon Do school but it’s now filled with mats, Muay Thai bags, a cage and some tough-looking guys that are friendly once you say “hi”.
Be sure to look out for this up-and-coming, young MMA fighter!
